Yes, there is a large expat community in Korea, most prominently in Seoul. There are a lot of special interest groups for expats to join that meet weekly and even daily, especially in Itaewon and Hongdae, where almost every expat is bound to bump into each other every weekend. And even if you teach in the inner suburbs, there are many expat communities on the internet that you can join. All in all, it’s a pretty close-knit community.
